Perhaps a construct of some ancient age, the Oven Oak resembles a normal tree from all outside observation, but that is where all comparison stops. Although classified as a plant and growing and shedding leaves in the winter, it is actually a synthetic construct made of nanocarbon material. Its leaves absorb the energy from the sun which it can use to defend itself with a powerful heat ray.

Larger specimens have been observed, it has health equal to level x 5 but its damage and armor remain unchanged. It attacks Speed as if one level higher.
- Combat:
The tree protects itself and fires at anything that moves within medium range making a Speed Attack at level four.
- Interaction:
The Oven Oak is very territorial and is only encountered one at a time. The tree proliferates by airborn “seeds” but will always “shoot down” a rival trees seeds.
No one knows if its possible to communicate with the thing.
- Use:
Great as a “trap” encounter or as the “guard” to some isolated locale.
- Loot:
Fifty percent chance of having a random cypher, and it can also be salvaged for materials, the “bark” is very strong and can be worked into cord or even armor and can fetch as much as 300 shins to the right buyer.
