Description
Muroid are small, dark green bushes. The leaves are covered in red veins and generate a small amount of heat, enough to withstand a light frost, but not enough to survive winter. In spring, they are covered with fruit blossoms that look like small tufts of fur. From these in the summer and autumn months, tennis ball-sized, cream-colored fruits grow. If harvested before ripe, the flesh of the fruit is dark red, thick and hearty, with an aroma reminiscent of raw meat.
If the fruit is unharvested, they burst and become small creatures reminiscent of inside-out rats. They run, blindly searching for an empty piece of soil into which to burrow. Within a few weeks, a new muroid bush will sprout.
If they cannot find soil to burrow into within a day, they die. They will attack, but only accidentally – if someone happens to be in the way while it seeks a place to plant itself, it will bite and scratch only to allow its continued passage.
