Description
A cloud of extremely small, black beetles flies through the air and begins to strip flesh from bone. But not with pincers or sharp teeth is this done. Bright flashes of green light can be seen as these tiny machines produce rays of pure energy capable of piercing most materials. This harvesting of material is later deconstructed into its component parts and made ready to build anything, which is also the job of the Altunus Scarabs. Mostly used to build the Constructs and monuments of the Altunus, Scarabs are sometimes employed as harvesters; ranging far from the tomb city to gather material. This is especially common when an Overlord is preparing for his arrival upon the surface.

Swarming over a target, it is possible for hundreds of these small creatures to combine their effort and strip a man of flesh in less than a second. Every time that eight Altunus Scarabs work together on a single target they ignore one point of physical armor.

None is possible with these soulless harvesters of the Altunus.

A great way to induce some horror as they strip the flesh from a helpless NPC in seconds.

Only the broken bits of their bodies can ever be recovered.
